Dental Care Center Turlock
Our whole family has been going to Dr. Davoud for quite some time now and it has always been a wonderful experience. They have a great, caring staff who works hard in making sure you're comfortable at all times. Dr. Davoud has always been a fantastic dentist who explains to you step by step what's actually going on throughout a procedure or examination as well as work that can be done in the future. He takes the time to make sure your teeth are the best they can be and I, personally, have never experienced any pain during a procedure. All in all, it's a great environment with truly lovely people and worth trying out.
Dental needs are not consistent across diverse age groups. Children differ from adults in the risks to their oral health and also in their unique needs for dental care. In the Turlock office of Dr. Ramsin Davoud, young patients find a welcoming environment and friendly staff that will put them at ease.
We are pleased to treat patients of all ages with our highest standard of care. In our Turlock practice, all members of your family will find the solution they need to keep their teeth and gums as healthy as possible. We consider the effects of dental conditions and also the materials used to repair teeth. Dr. Davoud uses mercury free and, in many cases, metal free restorations and techniques that closely replicate natural tooth structure. We work with children and their parents to support healthy dietary and hygiene habits through which cavities may be prevented.
In his advanced studies, Dr. Davoud has gained extensive skill through which less common conditions can be successfully treated.
Children and obstructive sleep apnea
Sleep disorders have continually become more recognized for their negative effects on health and wellness. Signs of this condition may vary widely between adult and pediatric patients.
When an adult routinely loses sleep due to obstructed breathing, or any other condition for that matter - the resulting daytime sleepiness will be exhibited in a predictable manner. Sleepy adults look sleepy, they move slowly and have trouble thinking. An adult with obstructive sleep apnea
may fall asleep at stoplights or at his or her desk at work. People may describe the perpetually-tired adult as moody and irritable or even depressed. This is not typically the case with a tired child.
Studies indicate a correlation between sleep and behavior in children. Unlike the adult whose sleep is frequently disrupted, the sleepy child is more likely to be viewed as hyper. Attention may be scattered from the inability to focus and calm the central nervous system. Many children diagnosed with ADHD, in fact, also experience frequent sleep disturbances. Researchers have considered the theory that the sleepy child remains in a perpetual state of motion as a coping mechanism to remain alert.
What does all this research mean to you and your family? It means that your Turlock dentist has in-depth knowledge that may help you make sense of and find solutions for issues related to behavior.
